COMMON ERRORS

1) Why am I unable to view my site inspite of uploading it?
If a site is uploaded on a domain recently registered it will take appr 2-3 days for the updation of database at Internic after which your site shall be visible.

2) Every time I see Error 500?
This is a syntax error, which means there has been an error while scripting.

3) Error 403?
This means that FTP is failing to set executable bits on the scripts, if you come across this error pls send a mail to support@ibninfosys.com.

4) Error 404 files not found?
This is probably because the file does not exist, reason being either misspelling the name of the page in the browser, moving a page.

5) I see this error on my site: directory listing denied?
If you don't have a default document (such as default.htm or index.htm) you will see this error. Just create a file named default.htm and upload it to your site.

6) I have uploaded correctly but yet my site shows Socket Error?
Reasons for this:
a) Either the entire matter of the site has not been uploaded. Check the size of matter to be uploaded & verify if the entire matter has been uploaded.
b) The path used is incorrect or you may have uploaded the files outside the prescribed folder i.e. Linux--"htdocs folder"
NT --"www folder"
c) The default page has not been deleted before uploading the files.

7) When I view my site I get an error "page not displayed"?
"Server Application Error" -- This error is a server-side error. The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. It is sometimes caused by bad ASP code.
"Forbidden error" -- This error occurs.
